Trackless Train Depot's Story

The train building journey started in 2010 with the train in the top picture and the man driving it, "Pops", the brain and craftsman who created it. At the time I had an event rental company and I knew a trackless train would be a huge hit. Being a young new entrepreneur, I didn't have the funds needed to buy a mall style train. I had seen many trains in operation at events we went to around the southeastern United States. I saw the attraction to trackless trains, the use, the wear and tear. Longevity issues were blaring to me, so I wasn't impressed with any of the wooden or fiberglass trains I had seen. Pops did what he did best and he helped me create what I needed. Born was a quality ride-on trackless train experience; classic appeal, easy to operate, easy to ride, easy to enjoy.

As more people saw and rode on our trackless train, we started getting requests to build trains for others. Seeing the opportunity, we took on the orders and a new chapter was started. But just two short years later, life threw us a curveball and Pops had a massive stroke. Luckily he recovered physically and mentally, but some of his personality and creativity was gone. I no longer had my train conductor. I continued with my event rental company, though a dad now myself in 2013; I started to see that the travel and being at events most weekends wasn't sustainable for me to be the dad I wanted to be. In 2017, I got out of the event rental business and ramped back up building trackless trains,  selling them all over the United States; a family farm in Utah, a party rental company in New York, a fairgrounds in Florida, a church in Texas, among others. But as life can do, it threw another curveball. I developed piriformis syndrome then herniated a disc in my lower back, Pops had a car accident resulting in broken vertebrae and traumatic brain injury, and then two heart attacks just a couple years later. Then the world stood still with COVID; during which medical treatment for anything else was secondary and Sadly Pops' health declined until we lost him in January 2024.

Now in 2025, with the years of experience creating an affordable and durable ride-on trackless train, comes the launch of Trackless Train Depot. We manufacture the superior outdoor trackless train; built to last for many years of easy ownership, easy operation, and unlimited enjoyment for your riders.

"Brandon has been great and helped us get exactly what we need for our church events! The train is perfect and keeps a line of kids AND adults. Excellent quality and service from Trackless Train Depot."

A tram is moving along a track near a grassy area, with a street running parallel to it. In the background, a large roller coaster and an amusement park are visible. Cars drive along the road, and several streetlamps and power lines can be seen. The sky is overcast with several clouds, and a few birds are flying in the distance.
